Miss Jenny Harvey

This is my second year at Collaton and I am absolutely loving being part of this incredible school! It is my 3rd year teaching this year and I have spent all 3 of those years within the Academy of Character and Excellence. During this time, I have been able to learn so much about the curriculum and ethos of the trust. I have worked within schools ever since I left school myself through TA roles and have absolutely loved every minute. From this, I knew it was my passion and I wanted to continue making a positive difference to children’s lives. I completed the Early Childhood Studies degree at Plymouth University and then went on to complete a PGCE at Exeter University. I have really enjoyed my teaching experience in KS1 so far, learning different ways to create activities to engage the children in exciting ways of learning. I have a love for reading so believe it is very important to encourage reading for pleasure for children starting from a young age. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, walking our dogs! I am also a football supporter and enjoy going along to matches on the weekends.
