I am so happy to return to Collaton St.Mary this year after completing my teacher training here in 2023. I spent the last year working in Totnes as part of the ACE Academies Trust and learning lots about the ACE curriculum and ethos. I began my training later in life after many years working with children and families in schools and nurseries. Previous to that, I worked as an entertainer on holiday parks and spent lots of time dancing around with giant animals!

 

I am passionate about history and strive to engage children in learning through hands-on, investigative activities. I believe that oracy is important for all children and aim to develop children’s language skills by facilitating discussions and debates in the classroom.

 

Outside of school, I love to spend time in our beautiful county. I enjoy camping with my family and spending time on and next to the river making campfires and cooking marshmallows.
